About us
Brighton says yes!
We are a coalition of residents and community groups who have come together to defend our refugee friends and neighbours. We will do whatever we can to make sure they can stay in Brighton, in good, safe housing. Together we can do this.
What local residents and groups can do
- Offer a spare room to house someone.
- Fundraise or donate to help pay for rented accommodation.
- Join our campaign.
What we want from the council leader
- Meet with the hotel residents and make a public statement together supporting their campaign to stay in Brighton.
- Publicly press the government to open a scheme, like the one for Ukrainian refugees, that funds local residents and Sanctuary councils to house refugees. Take the money from the companies profiteering from HMOs and hotels, and give it to our communities so we can house our neighbours.
