Privacy policy

Brighton Says Yes is a coalition of Brighton residents and community groups. This page explains what information this website collects and what we do with it. Our website address is https://brightonsaysyes.info.

What we collect

When you fill in our sign-up form, we collect your name, email address and anything you choose to write in your message. We only use this to contact you about Brighton Says Yes and how you’d like to get involved. We never sell or share your details with anyone else.

Form submissions are emailed to our team through an email delivery service (CyberMail). We keep them in our email inbox only for as long as we need them, and delete them when you ask us to or when they’re no longer needed.

Donations

Donations are made through Chuffed, not on this website. Chuffed handles your payment details under its own privacy policy, and we don’t see your card or bank details.

Cookies

This website doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies. Cookies are only set for people who log in to manage the site.

Embedded content from other websites

Some pages may include content from other websites, such as videos or social media posts. These behave as if you had visited that website, and it may collect information about you under its own privacy policy.

Photos

We take care when sharing photos, and we won’t publish images that identify anyone seeking asylum without their consent. If you appear in a photo on this site and would like it removed, please get in touch.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us at info@brightonsaysyes.info and we’ll respond as soon as we can. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
